5-11 February marks Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week.

As 1 in 5 children and young people have a probable mental health condition there has never been a more important time for Place2Be’s #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek

Evidence shows that early intervention in mental health does work and prevents far bigger problems from developing further down the line. Therefore, if we can start to take steps to support the mental health of children, we can help them to live more resilient and healthier lives.

Children and young people can learn the tools to develop positive mental health when provided with:

  • Regular care
  • Secure attention
  • Accepting vulnerability
  • Exploring inner strengths
  • A focus on safety

The theme of Children’s Mental Health Week 2024 is #YourVoiceMatters and this year we will be highlighting what young people are saying to us about mental health and what we can be doing to support them.

How does stem4 support the mental health of children and young people?

stem4 supports children and young people through a holistic approach.

  • We offer developmentally suitable help through resources, apps, work with schools.
  • We work together with all systems around a child or young person – parents, carers, educators, health professionals
  • stem4 provides tools to support both resilient online and offline engagement

Our mission is to help children and young people tap into the best in themselves and thrive.
