Support Parent Mental Health Day 2025 with stem4

stem4, the UK’s leading digital mental health charity, is proud to be the founder of Parent Mental Health Day (PMHD), launched in 2022. This annual campaign promotes awareness of the critical link between parents’ mental health and family wellbeing. This year, with the #ScreenSmartParenting theme, stem4 is providing resources and training to help families foster healthy digital habits and support youth mental health. Join us on the 30th of January 2025 in creating supportive environments where young people can thrive, both online and offline.

The theme of #ScreenSmartParenting was chosen to address the growing concerns among parents and carers about the impact of digital technology on their families’ wellbeing.

Our 2025 campaign offers vital tools and training designed to help families establish healthier screen habits, manage online stress, and create positive digital environments for young people. Together, we can ensure that the digital world supports, rather than hinders, the mental health and development of children and young people.

Combined Minds is an app developed for teenage mental health charity stem4 by Dr. Nihara Krause, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, to help families and friends support young people with their mental health.

When a child or young person has a diagnosed mental health condition, families and friends want to support them in the best way but also know when to step back.

The Combined Minds app helps families and friends to find ways to provide the right environment to help the individuals they support affect their own change. As important influencers in the lives of young people, this provides positive impact on their mental health.

Find out more at combinedminds.stem4.org.uk and download the app on the App Store and Google Play.

There are no doubt a number of challenges your children will face as they negotiate life. Helping them develop their resilience to navigate these challenges is an important task of parenting. Whilst resilience might be a trait in some, for the most part resilience is learnt.
