What’s it like for a young person right now?
In a word (or two): extremely tough.
20% of young people have a probable mental health condition (NHS England, 2023).
This mental health crisis has become a perfect storm with evidence-based treatment ever-harder to access, NHS services stretched to their limits and funding for charities like stem4, who are desperately trying to fill the gap, is harder and harder to come by.
As a result, millions of young people each and every day are going without the vital mental health support they need.
We want to ensure that every young person in the UK, whatever their background or circumstances, has access to high quality, evidence-based mental health support.
More than just raising awareness, we want to place into the hands of every young person in the UK the tools they need to get well and stay well

India’s Story
Our Incredible Supporters
We rely on our thousands of generous supporters to keep us doing what we’re doing each and every year.
Whether it’s a one-off donation, monthly giving or event-based fundraising, we wouldn’t be here without you.
Your support has enabled us to provide MILLIONS of young people, who’d otherwise have nothing, with evidence-based psychological support that really works.
Where does your money go?
- Encourage others to support us – whether you are in a position to support us yourself right now or not: send a link to friends and family!
- Your company may offer match funding, making your donation go twice as far – ask them!
- Gift Aid adds 25% to your donation at NO COST to you – remember to tick the box!
WE’RE NOT AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP
We do some amazing things (if we do say so ourselves) but you allow us to.
We aim for £20,000 in monthly donations just to keep going.

” This app was recommended to me by a friend. Being someone who has a lot of panic attacks and anxiety, and who has had CBT [cognitive behavioural therapy], i can say that the app is really similar to the sessions i would usually pay for. This app has saved me many times and i highly recommend it… Really helps me through a lot every day. Thank You!:) “
