• stem4 was delighted to be the chosen charity of Southwest Songbirds, an all-female Earlsfield based choir, for their 2016 summer concert. The event, led by Musical Director Polly May and attended by stem4 trustees, Jo Manley and Emma Cariaga was held on Thursday 7th July at St Andrews Church, Earlsfield.
  • During the course of the evening, the audience was treated to the stirring strains of the Vivaldi Gloria accompanied by a wonderful string quartet. This was followed by ‘Glyndebourne style’ snacks and drinks in the church gardens (sausage rolls and wine provided by the Bean and Hop café who also generously donated their profits to the charity), after which the audience enjoyed a further selection of songs by artists as diverse as the Beatles, Bruno Mars and John Rutter!
At the end, Emma was invited to say a few words about the work of the charity and it was very rewarding to note a huge amount of interest in the work we are doing. The evening raised a £850 from door takings and a further £165 in donations and provided a great opportunity to publicise stem4.
  • We are extremely grateful to the choir and their supporters for such warmth and generosity.
