This past weekend, four amazing people, Amy, John, Zoe, and Geraldine, took on one of the world’s most iconic races, the TCS London Marathon, all in support of stem4 and young people’s mental health.

Despite the brutal heat and challenging conditions, they each crossed the finish line with courage and determination, and together raised over £5,688 (and counting!) to help stem4 continue its mission of delivering life-changing mental health resources to young people across the UK and beyond.

Each runner brought a personal story and powerful motivation to their race:

  • Amy ran in memory of her cousin Tommy-Lee, determined to raise awareness and help others get support. Support Amy here.
  • John, completing his 223rd marathon, ran with his usual determination, driven by a desire to help young people find hope and strength. Support John here.
  • Zoe, our Communications Manager, took on her first London Marathon, relying on the support of strangers to get her to the finish line.
  • Geraldine, another valued member of our team, pushed through the heat to run in solidarity with the young people we support every day.

At stem4, we’re a small charity with a big mission, and when people choose to run for us, it enables us to provide mental health resources that are used by thousands of young people each day.

To everyone who ran, donated, cheered from the sidelines, or followed along from home, thank you. Your support enables us to reach young people at a time they need it most.

And to our runners: we’re in awe of your strength and commitment. You’ve inspired us all.

Interested in running for stem4? Whether you’re planning a marathon, a 10K, or your own personal challenge, we’d love to welcome you to Team stem4. Every step you take helps us take one closer to a world where young people can access the mental health support they need.
