We are excited to announce we are taking part in this year’s #givingtuesday campaign. The campaign, which began in America, is an antidote to the mass consumerism of Black Friday and aims to get people thinking of others in the run up to Christmas.

Since its inception in 2014, #givingtuesday has become one of the biggest events in the global charity calendar, breaking successive Guinness World Records for the most amount of money donated online to charity in 24 hours. In 2016, £48 million was donated online via PayPal with the UK accounting for the second largest amount of donations.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s largest match funding campaign. Last year, thanks to generous supporters like you, the campaign raised over £11.3 million for participating charities.

stem4 will be raising money for our new ‘Head-Ed’ project which aims to provide high-quality mental health education in video format to young people in secondary schools with accompanying teaching material so that they can learn to recognise early warning signs of mental ill-health conditions, know what first steps to take, and how to ask for help.

Donations to this project will be matched for 7 days from 12 pm on 27th November, #givingtuesday.

One donation, twice the impact.
