stem4 is excited to announce that we are taking part in the GIG Malta Marathon Challenge on 1st March 2020 and are looking for supporters to join us for this fundraising event!

stem4 will be hosting a team in the event, which is supported by Diespeker & Co, suppliers and installers of terrazzo, marble and other quality stone for the commercial and residential sectors. Managing Director John Krause has completed over 160 marathons, many in aid of stem4, and previously organised a 30-strong team in the Malta Marathon raising over £7,500. Diespeker & Co is a long-standing supporter of stem4 and the work they do for teenage mental health.

If you are interested in taking part or getting a group of friends or colleagues together to participate, here are the details:

  • The races take place on Sunday 1st March on the beautiful island of Malta (marathon, half-marathon, half-marathon walk)
  • The weekend offers an ideal opportunity to experience Malta whilst supporting stem4’s fundraising endeavours
  • There will be the opportunity to join stem4 and Diespeker & Co for a set menu pre-run meal (price to be confirmed) on Sat 29th February to prepare for the big day and get to know the team. You are also welcome to join us on Sunday 1st post-race to celebrate our achievements and share stories.

If you are interested then please register your interest by contacting Caroline at fundraising@stem4.org.uk as soon as possible and we will provide further details on the event. stem4 has a number of marathon places available but you will be required to book and pay for flights and accommodation on the island, which we suggest you do as early as possible to secure the most competitive prices and availability.

In order to secure a place, we would ask that each runner secures a minimum of £250 in sponsorship (race place included). stem4 can support you by offering help and advice on where to start, what to do and how to maximise your target.

The deadline to secure your place is 20th December 2019.
