stem4 was delighted to be selected as the charity being supported at the Education Estates Awards Dinner 2019. The sold-out evening event was held at Exchange Hall, Manchester Central on the 15th October.
Education Estates is the organisation behind the UK’s largest learning spaces & environments exhibition, conference and awards dinner. The organisation, and it’s events, are designed to celebrate all those involved in the design, building, funding, maintenance, management and performance of education buildings across the UK. The Department of Education has a long-standing involvement with Education Estates; contributing to the conference which was held during the day, as well as presenting the DofE Sustainability Award during the evening.
Dr Krause, founder and CEO of stem4, attended the dinner and presented the work of the charity to a receptive and generous audience. stem4’s presentation was followed by the after dinner speaker, Tom Allen. The comedian, writer and actor kept spirits high and the audience highly entertained with his unique wit, storytelling and humour.
Not only was it a fantastic evening celebrating excellence and achievement in the education industry, but we are also thrilled to acknowledge the donation of £4725.75 (including Gift Aid) from the event which will go directly towards the services we offer to supporting teenage mental health. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all those involved in the organisation of the dinner, the honouring of stem4, and of course, all those who donated.
