stem4 is delighted to have made the 2019 Comic Relief/Paul Hamlyn Foundation Tech for Good longlist for our proposal for an app to help young people manage the symptoms of depression. 82 applications were whittled down to the 21 that have been longlisted, and up to 13 will receive funding to be announced in July.
1 in 4 people under the age of 19 are vulnerable to developing depression according to the latest NHS Digital figures.
This proposal follows on from our successful apps Calm Harm – to help young people manage the urge to self-harm, and Clear Fear – to help young people manage the symptoms of anxiety.
