stem4 Webinars for Parents/Carers – #TiptheBalance to Positive: Looking after Parent and Carer Mental Health

Loading Events

Join us online for a free webinar by Dr Nihara Krause for parents/carers on looking after their own mental health.

The past year has been like no other, with huge impact on the mental health of the nation.

‘Parent Pandemic Burnout’ is a term coined by the WHO in 2021 to highlight the mental health impact of the current period of time. Parent Mental Health Day is here to shine a light on the unsung heroes who have parented under changed circumstances throughout the pandemic, but now need some focus on themselves. Shining a spotlight on parents’ mental health will encourage people to reflect on the impact on their own and their families’ lives and share thoughts on how to #TipTheBalance towards positive mental health.

This webinar will provide parents with an overview of the current state of parent mental health, how improved parent mental health benefits the whole family, provide practical ways in which parents and carers can regain equilibrium in their lives and tip the balance towards positive mental health. We also hope to share the results of a stem4 2022 national survey on parent mental health.
