Thank you to Natasha who took to the skies on April 6th and raised £660 for STEM4 at the same time. In her words:
“On April 6th 2013 I jumped out of a plane at 13,000ft to raise money for STEM4. It was a tandem dive so once in the plane I was strapped to my instructor “Ed” ready for the jump. It was a very tight squeeze in the plane so, although terrifying, it was something of a relief to find myself about to jump. Before the jump I had to hang out of the plane with my legs beneath, the instructor then pushed us out and we accelerated at a speed of 125mph in freefall for about a minute before deploying the parachute. At that point, we were high above the clouds and all there was to see was sunny, open sky. It was an exhilarating and terrifying experience at the same time but all for a very worthwhile charity. I am thrilled to say that In 2013 I touched the clouds and managed to raise £660 for STEM4.”
