The stem4 Youth Advisory Group

stem4’s Youth Advisory Group is a team of dedicated young people who meet regularly to shape the work and the goals of stem4, and ensure that young people are always at the centre of what we do.

The stem4 Youth Advisory group ensures that the voices of young people are at the centre of our work to promote positive mental health. The Youth Advisory Group meets regularly to discuss the work and the aims of stem4, informing not only what we are doing now, but what we will be doing in the future.

The Youth Advisory Group discusses things like:

  • What information could stem4 be providing for young people?
  • How can we further incorporate the youth perspective into the work that we do?
  • Are there any communities that stem4 could, or should, be looking to reach out to?
  • What are your opinions on the stem4 website, apps, and social media?
  • How can we ensure youth engagement and involvement in our events, e.g. Youth Mental Health Day in September?
  • How can stem4 further engage with schools, universities and colleges?
  • How might stem4 influence policy and practice?
  • What do you want the stem4 Youth Advisory Group to achieve?

The Youth Advisory Group will also get opportunities to meet with different members of the stem4 team, ambassadors, and trustees, to learn more about the mental health and the charity sector.

We meet once a month, via zoom, to discuss and share thoughts and ideas.

You have to be between the ages of 16 to 25 to become a member of the Youth Advisory Group.

If you are passionate about promoting positive mental health in young people and want to learn more, please share your interest with us!
