None of us are made the same and this can sometimes be upsetting. There are times that you try to do something for yourself to make you feel better but sometimes this doesn’t work out or you may take things a little too far which harms you instead. This could leave you feeling completely overwhelmed but it’s the way that people cope with this that makes the difference. These overwhelming feelings can sometimes be difficult to deal with alone but you don’t have to go through this alone. You’re one of many who are going through the same emotions. There are people who know and understand these emotional changes and would like to help you. There are also family and friends who would be happy to help because they love you for being you. There are places you could go to for help. You may want to start with speaking to the nurse at school.

It’s sometimes not easy to cope when things don’t go to plan and the coping mechanisms that used to work may not work this time. Don’t despair as this is all very normal. The best way to deal with the current situation is to take small manageable steps to change. It’s common for some people to revert to old habits, and it’s normal, but the sooner you get back on track the better.

Why not try writing down all the activities that make you feel good about yourself and who you are and do at least one a day. Don’t be hard on yourself if you miss a day just do what you can with the time you have. Remember small manageable steps are the best way forward.

There is a lot more detailed information in this website if you wanted all the details. Take care of yourself as you are special to your family and friends.
